Journeying to Wholeness

Hi, I'm Cecy
"Like autumn rains soften the earth, healing begins when we are gently met where we are."
I work hard with my clients to strengthen their sense of agency and choice, to widen their capacity to self-reflect, regulate, and respond to difficult thoughts, emotions, and actions. Through psychoeducation tailored to each individual’s needs, I support clients in validating their inner strengths, embracing and working through their vulnerabilities, and developing external support systems and self-advocacy skills to help them voice their truth. Healing, however, is rarely a solitary journey. I collaborate with the various sub-systems surrounding my clients—whether family members, physicians, schools, hospitals, or legal supports—at both micro and macro levels, to ensure each person feels fully seen, heard, and supported on their path toward meaningful change. Fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and Malayalam, I bring a deeply multicultural and inclusive lens to my practice. With a double Master’s in Social Work (India and Toronto) and over 22 years of experience in individual, couple, and family therapy, I help clients holistically address challenges such as trauma in interpersonal relationships, anxiety, depression, and parenting concerns. My approach is trauma-informed, multisystemic, strengths-based, and client-centered—drawing from modalities including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Autumn Rains Counselling was born from the desire to offer a gentle, grounded, and culturally responsive space for healing. Just as the earth welcomes the rain and prepares for new growth, I believe each client carries the potential to regenerate, to transform their pain into purpose, and to rebuild relationships—with others and with the most tender, wounded parts of themselves. Therapy can be both daunting and deeply fulfilling. It can become a sacred place where sorrow, fear, and confusion are not only held—but slowly alchemized into strength, clarity, and hope. Success in therapy, I believe, blossoms when therapist and client meet with sincerity and openness, willing to learn from one another as fellow travelers on the journey toward wholeness. It would be an honour for Autumn Rains Counselling to be the beginning of that journey for you.
My Values
No matter what brings you here today - heartache, trauma, conflict, loneliness, transition, isolation, or simply a quiet longing for deeper connection, you are welcome here. I want you to know that healing is possible, and you do not have to walk toward it alone. My practice is rooted in the belief that with the right support, every individual, couple and family has the capacity to grow, repair, reclaim dignity and move toward deeper connection with themselves and one another. I offer culturally-sensitive, trauma-informed, spiritually-integrated therapy that honors and tends to the mind, body, heart, and soul. Whether you are seeking gentle inner work, practical relational tools or immersive sessions to deepen and accelerate transformation - I welcome you into this space with warmth and compassion. My hope is to walk alongside you — gently and bravely — as you grow, repair, and re-root yourself in compassion, courage, and connection.
Vision: To cultivate spaces of restoration where individuals, couples, and families can heal intergenerational pain, deepen their roots, and grow toward a life of wholeness, resilience, and authentic connection.

Mission: Guided by the belief that every season has its purpose, Autumn Rains exists to offer holistic, culturally-responsive, compassionate therapeutic supports and services that helps people transform suffering into strength, rupture into repair, and survival into soulful, intentional living — journeying toward wholeness, one brave step at a time.
